short and friendly trails with amazing view, creeks and lots of wooden bridges all around the trails. Clear sign to direct the ways at every corner. Very easy to reach out
Good place to hike at. Open for the public. Easy start going down but end part is an incline going up. You can plan your hike time with the trails in this reserve. You'll feel very close to nature with all the tall green trees and plants. Feel and breathe in the clean, fresh air in this place. Not crowded when we went on a Saturday. There is free parking. No restroom but there is a Honey Bucket portalet at the entrance.
Beautiful place for a quick escape into nature. Trails are well maintained and marked. All intersections have a map with directions and distances. Terrain is super varied from flat to having a decent incline.
What a beautiful hidden gem. Very well maintained and plenty of trails to explore. You can find maps all throughout, making it easy to plan out your path. This preserve is the perfect hiking spot for people with lower mobility or asthma, as well as young children. Just be careful of the wooden gazing platforms and bridges when they are wet. They are completely slick!
Just finished hiking here and it's definitely going to be my go-to spot. Excited to come back to explore more of the trails. Location is great as it's close to the city but super tranquil and quiet. There are also a number of picnic tables.
Parking lot was easy to find and had a number of spots (roughly 10-12) though on a busier day might recommend carpooling. Bathroom was simple to find and open.
Beautiful trail with a mix of gravel and dirt, meadows and forest. There are lots of small drawbridge throughout the hike and plenty of birds!
ššBig plus was that there were posts, markers and signs at each point. See pictures for detail.
Recommend for anyone looking for a easy to slightly medium hike depending on which trail you take.

Clean trails there are easy to follow. There is a trail map at every major intersection with a you are here sign that so you are never lost. Two parking lots. The lots were full but I didn't see a ton of people on the trails. Not a lot of elevation. The buttercups were thriving. The lupines were still out though a little fried from the recent heat. The lupines are between intersection 4 & 5. Not sure if there's more somewhere else on the preserve since I didn't get a chance to walk through all of it. Great for young children. The lower trailhead does not have a toilet at the parking lot, but if you start going down the trail, there is a toilet within 5 minutes of walking. No parking fee. Leashed dogs allowed.
One can access this from Sahale street but this entrance has stairs so cannot bring anything with wheels as the trail difficulty is narrow and steep. But thereās a huge nature preserve of 524 acres. Itās beautiful multiple landscapes in the nature area! Go in spring there's a field of waist high purple flowers one can walk a trail truly breathtaking! Posts show your direction or various paths and also the severity of the trail for hikers and just walkers. Dogs love the meadow's, forests and small creeks flowing ever so slightly around entire area. A quick drink or cooling off for them. ( On a leash tho ). Also have restrooms . That matters š¢
There has a very short trail, the longest loop trail is about 2.7km but part of it was closed. Itās not busy at all even in the weekends. Be aware somebody saw a black bear there, so I donāt think itās truly dog friendly if there has possibility that you may meet a bear.
